Service Description
Join us in celebrating the 139th birthday of renowned conservationist Aldo Leopold! This two-part event will feature both an outdoor guided hike at Leopold's Preserve, followed by a film screening held indoors just a few minutes' drive away at the Bull Run Mountains Conservancy Mountain House Headquarters, 17405 Beverley Mill Dr, Broad Run, VA 20137, USA. Stay for the whole event, or join us for one or the other! 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM, Naturalist-led Hike: A naturalist will lead an Aldo Leopold themed hike through Leopold's Preserve. Excerpts of Leopold's work will be read and discussed as they relate to our current environment. 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM, Film Screening: A perfect way to warm up after the hike, we will be screening the film "Aldo Leopold: Learning from the Land" from PBS Wisconsin Documentaries at the Bull Run Mountains Conservancy Mountain House Headquarters. Light refreshments will be provided. Guests who would like to attend both parts of this event will have time in between the hike and film screening to drive from Leopold's Preserve to the Bull Run Mountains Conservancy Mountain House Headquarters.
